Background
Weatherley is the Conservative Member of Parliament for Hove and Portslade. He is the ex-Secretary of the All Party Parliamentary Small Shops Group which is chaired by Priti Patel, the MP for Witham (Conservative). [1]
Against the Point of Sale Display Ban
Weatherley led the campaign against the implementation of the Display Ban at Westminster. [2]
According to his website, Weatherley believes “that the Tobacco Display Ban is a badly planned piece of legislation which will do nothing to stop smoking” [3]
